The book is well made, and very attractive, lavishly illustrated with color plates, photographs of particular sites, and black and white illustrations both ancient and modern. This would make a great gift. This is a good introduction to the Celtic saints, and Celtic Christianity in general/5(6).

Elizabeth Rees is a Roman Catholic nun. She gained a Master's Degree from Oxford University, before starting a career as a writer, lecturer, and pastoral worker.
